Champion roller skater Taig Khris sets a new world record by jumping off the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
From the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, the showman whipped the crowds into a frenzy before he took the plunge.
Thousands of fans gathered in Paris to watch champion roller skater Taig Khris attempt a world record – the highest roller skate jump in history.
Leaping off the tower, Khris jumped ten metres onto a thirty metre ramp – (pause) – before a failed landing on his first attempt.
Undaunted he immediately returned to the jump site to try again. His second jump was flawless, setting a new world record.
A clearly elated Khris spoke after the jumps:
“I went there, full of speed and I’m so glad that I made it the second time. This case, this dream is everyone’s dream, because if I came this far, if I could make the impossible dream here, because really to put a ramp like that, at the Eiffel Tower, it’s really impossible, normally, it’s just impossible, so it’s really a proof that everything is possible, when you dream a lot and you work hard. Two years, non stop. I didn’t sleep for nights and nights, for that small moment up there and now, as you can see, I made it so that’s cool.”
Khris adds his world record to countless wins in the world championships and X games.
