A shocking story took place in China. A nine-year-old Chinese schoolgirl has become one of the world’s youngest mothers after giving birth to a healthy boy.
The girl was brought to a hospital in Changchun, which lies in the north-east of the country, when she was eight and a half months pregnant.
Two days later, she gave birth to the 6lb boy by Caesarean section, a Chinese newspaper has reported.
The medics of the hospital did not give any other comments to reporters. No wonder, because the subject of early pregnancy is tabooed in the communist country.
A correspondent of a local newspaper penetrated into the hospital twice in an attempt to see the young mother, but his efforts returned no result. He only managed to find out that the girl looked older for her nine years. Nothing is known about the details of the child’s pregnancy.
The police are trying to find the father of the girl’s child – they have already questioned the members of the young mother’s family. A sexual relationship with females under 14 years of age is considered a severe sex crime in China.
Statistics says that Chinese girls get pregnant and subsequently try to make an abortion a lot more frequently than it is believed. Chinese schoolgirls make about 30 percent of all abortions performed in the country. Female college students add another 20 percent to this number.
In 1910, a Chinese boy aged 9 and a Chinese girl aged 8 became the nation’s youngest parents ever. The youngest mother in the USSR was a six-year-old girl, who gave birth to a dead child in 1930. The little girl had been raped by her own grandfather.
In 1957 another Peruvian girl, aged nine, gave birth to a girl weighing just over 6lb and, curiously, it was in 2006 that yet another Peruvian girl, aged eight, gave birth to a 4lb 4oz girl.
In April of 2000, a Russian girl from the Rostov region gave birth to her child when she was eight. The child’s father was a 13-year-old boy.
The youngest reported mother in the world – and the most bizarre of all young pregnancy cases – is five-year-old Lina Medina of Peru, who gave birth to a 6lb son named Gerardo in a Caesarean operation in 1939.
Her father was arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse but was later released because of lack of evidence.

This article surprises me since little girls like five,six or seven since they didint have their periods yet. A girl is able to have a baby when they have their period for the first time. The only reason is that her body rapidly matured as it was ready to have a baby.

First of all a young girl can have their menstrual at that age but I think the bigger issue is who left her to end up this way? I can’t believe noone was around to protect her from someone that would do this. Maybe it wasn’t a man maybe it was another chld all I know is we are suppose to watch our children and keep things like this from happening. We are suppose to love,educate, and nurture our kids. I cannot imagine someone so small and fragile delivering even the smallest baby my God how her body must feel and how scarred her mind may be. My heart goes out to her.

How is it possibly for a nine year old to have a baby??? Her body isn’t fully developed enough to have a baby -.- that’s just messed up. And the pregnancy shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
It is called Precosious Puberty (might have mispelled). In lamen terms at unusal ages childern start puberty. It is normal puberty in most cases, it just happens warlier. There youngest cases have couple month old girls getting their periods. So this girl, as well as the other young mothers had obviously started puberty prior to getting pregent. But just because a person starts puberty earlier it does not mean they should have sex (matter of fact there are some physical disrepences in the matter, usally size of the girl’s vagina), this is without doubt a horrible thing. Sadly though childern’s bodies aren’t like automobiles, with the assailent’s fingerprints on the wheel.
Big deal, so she got some semen dumped in her. It’s not the worst thing that can happen to you. Lighten up.
