Omar Al Hegelan and Nasser Al Neyadi have set a new world record for the highest base jump after they jumped 2,205ft from the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai. The two men, from the Emirates Aviation Society, obtained permission to do the jump on Tuesday of this week.
The United Arab Emirates jumpers fell 672 meters in a jump that took over 1.5 minutes before reaching ground level. The jumpers experienced free-falling speeds of almost 220km/hr. They released their parachutes after approximately 10 seconds of free-falling.
