Peck, kissing, Frenching, and play tonsils-hockey there are many names for the kiss, as there are ways. Whether you use it as a casual greeting or a very romantic gesture, kissing is one of the ingrained human behavior that seems to defy explanation.
His many purposes, a coup and Peck for good luck on the dice, lips to the ground after a boat trip rock, kisses in the air at a known and long, slow kisses from Hollywood, have different meanings, but are similar. So why is what we like pots?

Philematologists, scientists who study kissing, are not exactly sure why humans began to lock lips in the first place. The most likely theory is derived from primate mothers passing along chewing food for their babies without teeth. The contact lip of the mouth may have been passed on through evolution, not only as a necessary means of survival, but also as a general way to promote bonding and as an expression of love.
But something happened, obviously, a kiss from the time of the chewed food to pass. Now, it is believed that kissing facilitating the transfer of critical information, instead of bits of meat. The kisses we associate with romantic courtship can help us choose a good mate, send chemical signals, and foster long term relationships. All this is important in the ultimate goal of evolution, reproductive success.

Kissing allows us to get close enough to a partner to evaluate the essential features of them, none of which we are aware processing. Part of this exchange of information is most likely facilitated by pheromones, chemical signals that pass between animals to help send messages. We know that animals use pheromones to alert their colleagues about things like mating, food sources and danger, and the researchers hypothesize that pheromones may play a role in human behavior. Although it is believed that the vomeronasal organ, which are responsible for the detection of pheromones and brain function in animals, the remnants and inactive in humans, research indicates that communicate with chemicals.
So one of the best things about kissing, however, is that we don’t have to think about any of this. Just close eyes, pucker up, and let nature takes its course.
